Last year we posted an article letting people know only 500 days were left for Microsoft supporting Windows XP and what this means to you and your business.

Some companies are still running this 11 year old operating system and Microsoft recognizes this. Today Microsoft sent out a press release reminding everyone that Windows XP and Office 2003 will no longer be supported by them on April 8th, 2014. Microsoft is also suggesting to companies that haven’t upgraded yet to “…begin as soon as possible to ensure that they meet the April 8, 2014 deadline.” Planning a budget now, if not already, should be started.

To help companies that haven’t upgraded yet from Windows XP or Office 2003, Microsoft has created a special upgrade program for small and medium size businesses. If you still have Windows XP installed, Microsoft will give you a 15% discount if you upgrade to Windows 8 Pro and to Office 2013 Standard. This discount expires on June 30th and is available for up to 100 licenses. This offer is available through Microsoft’s GetModern program and we can help get your business upgraded.
